Our Anniversary Night at the Royals

On September 22, Alex and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. It is crazy to stop and think about the past two years and how much our lives have changed. Definitely for the better. My parents had bought us tickets to the Royals vs Red Sox game that evening as a gift. They were going to go with us but ironically, they had to go to Boston for a conference. So we invited our friends Kevin and Kelly to join us. And of course, since baby J loves the Royals so much, she went with us. We were able to tailgate ahead of time. Our seats were fantastic. We were four rows behind Boston's dugout. We really enjoyed the game that night. It wasn't too cold. Jocelyn slept for a while but then was awake for most of the game. She was a little party animal. And unfortunately, I think she is still trying to play catch up today. She was little grouchy and tired today. Hopefully, she will get all caught up because we have a big weekend ahead. We are going camping with the Green's near Manhattan.

Fun with the Family

Last weekend, we spent a very busy weekend in Hays. We left Thursday night so that it would be more of a longer weekend and we wouldn't feel so rushed. My brother Sean and his daughter Olive came back with Jocelyn and I. We stayed at my parents' house but spent a lot of time with the rest of the family as well. Jocelyn's great uncle just recently moved back to Hays and her great aunt came back for a visit as well. It was really nice seeing everyone again. The weekend went by pretty fast. It was full of late nights and early mornings. (Thanks to Miss J) We even went to a parade because my high school's homecoming was that weekend. It was Jocelyn's first parade. She seemed to enjoy it. Olive sure caught on to the whole candy routine by the end. The rest of the weekend was spent playing, going for walks and relaxing with the family. Sunday was a long ride home for everyone I think. Unfortunately, with October being very busy, we may not be able to get back to Hays until November.

11 Months!!!

We are almost there. Jocelyn turned 11 months old last week. One month closer to her first birthday. Last week was kind of rough in the Green household. We thought Jocelyn was a little cranky and feverish from cutting teeth but it seemed to linger on all last week. She did not have the best week. She was very tired and cranky. She may have had a bug, who knows. Saturday morning, however, she woke up like nothing had happen. She was back to her happy self again and has been fine ever since then. Which is good, because Saturday night she went to have a sleep over at her Uncle Sean and Aunt Malindi's house. She was able to play with her cousins that night. Mom and Dad went to a wedding in Topeka. We figured that she would have a better time in Baldwin than at a wedding where she couldn't run around and play. She was a very good girl and behaved the whole night. After the wedding, Alex and I stayed at their house as well. We came home Sunday just in time to turn around and go back to Gardner. Our friend Jeff's little girl, Jordan, had her first birthday party. Jocelyn was having fun playing when all of a sudden she threw up all over herself and mom. It wasn't pretty. Good thing they had hardwood floors. She even managed to launch some on some guy. Needless to say, we left shortly after that. While Jocelyn had an extra change of clothes; mom didn't. It just isn't a one year old's birthday party without a little vomit. Jocelyn didn't act sick or anything. It is hard to say what upset her tummy. We are getting ready for the week and packing for the weekend. Jocelyn and I are going to Hays for the weekend to see the family.

Royals, Fevers and BBQs

This was a very long weekend for the Greens. It was crammed pack and exciting. Alex's uncle Ned and his cousin Eric were visiting from California. Since Eric is a huge Angels fan, we went to two KC Royals games to watch them get beaten up by the Angels. We sat out in the outfield for one of the games. It was really neat sitting out there. We even stayed for fireworks Friday. At first Jocelyn was a little taken back but quickly got into it. She didn't cry or shutter away at all. On Saturday, we had a barbecue for our family and friends. Jocelyn also get to try out her new KU football jersey. She looked so stylish in it. I wore my jersey as well. I think it must have been good luck because the jayhawks crushed Northern Colorado. Sunday morning, Jocelyn woke up with a fever. It is hard to say whether or not she has a little bug or it is due to teething. She is still waiting for that first tooth to pop threw. It is right there just waiting to come out. She was pretty cranky all day but I also think she was tired. Monday, she was in much better spirits. We went to another Royals game. It was right in the middle of her afternoon nap so she took little cat naps throughout the game. She has recently started clapping all the time. It was really cute to see her clap at the Royals game as if she knew when they did something good. I think this morning she was definitely happy to see Sarah. She is a girl who enjoys her routine. This weekend we may try to take it a little easier.
