Day at The K

Jocelyn went to her first Royals game this weekend. We were planning on taking her Friday evening but my parents came into town for the weekend for my brother's graduation. Thankfully they volunteered to babysit for us that evening. In case you didn't know, a huge storm came into town late afternoon on Friday. There were high winds and rain. Alex and I, along with some friends, went out early to tail gate and ended up sitting in our car for 2 hours while it rained. The game didn't start until 9 p.m. We decided to go to the game Saturday evening though. We took my parents and Jocelyn. It was a great night. The weather was nice and we had great seats as well. Of course she was decked out in her Royals gear. Jocelyn got a certificate for her first game that had her name and date on it. She also got her picture taken with Slugger, the mascot. She was such a good little girl. (Although I would be surprise if she wasn't anything but good) I carried her in a baby carrier so she could see all the sites and enjoy the game. She appeared to enjoy it. Once we got to our seats, she slept for the first 4 or 5 innings. Then she was up smiling and laughing; having a good time. Then she crashed on the way home and slept like well for the rest of the night. Then on Sunday, we went to my brother's house in Baldwin. He graduated from KU with his Master's degree. It was fun hanging out with our family and Jocelyn really enjoyed playing with her cousins.
